Mixed (Up) Media

Creativity can strike at any moment.  Some folks sit down to create and inspiration motivates them.  That rarely happens with me.  Sometimes friends send me photos of things they find that they feel would be of interest to me, sometimes I see a picture and think of how it could be changed into a glass item, and sometimes I see an item in a shop and inspiration hits.

I found these two wooden items in a shop and they called out to me to buy them.

Once I got them home and into my workshop and let them sit for awhile. They each had something to say in a very straightforward way.  After inspiration came, I felt that they would be even more engaging with some glass and shells added to bring back fond memories.  So I did just that.
