Get What You Want

Sometimes I get an idea for an item that I want and I want EXACTLY that – not necessarily a glass item, but even a kitchen utensil, or a greeting card with a particular sentiment.  When I can’t find what I want, I am frustrated and usually ‘settle’ for whatever is closest to the idea in my head.

Fortunately, with glass creations, I can often come close to the original idea or vision that is wandering around in my head.  Here are three examples of items DarionGlass created because someone came to us and asked for exactly what they wanted and we were able to produce that item.

First is a fan shape of mixed media with stained glass combined with glass nuggets and sea shells that sits in a stand to allow light to filter through.  Next is a nautilus shell that had been laying on a shelf, but the owner wanted a better way to display it, so we created a live edge wooden stand with glass waves to hold the shell upright.  On the far right is a unique Christmas ornament created for a lady who attended the Deck the Halls event at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church last December -  her son was into volcanoes and she couldn’t find any Christmas ornament that was a volcano and she asked if we could create one.  Of course!

We enjoy making items that represent special times or special people.  If you want a special item, contact us by emailing here or contact us on Facebook.
