Creativity - Part 1

I am always looking for new ideas for existing items and new items to create.  Recently an idea for a new item popped in my head, but I knew it would require a mold.  Since I had taken a mold-making class earlier this year, I felt it was a doable project.  While I was mulling this over, I saw an item sitting on a table (in a TV show) and thought it had an interesting accent.

With these two ideas rolling around, I decided to start working on turning the ideas into reality.  It was easy to pick out the glass, but beyond that things got more complicated.  First, I looked for a pattern that might be a good starting point and a mold that – with changes – might serve my purpose.

This picture is a collection of the pattern that I hope to use and some possible mold options.  Since my idea is still just a glimmer in my eye, I am offering this to spur YOUR creativity.  What do you see?  What ideas do you have?  Send me your thoughts and ideas and maybe your idea can take wings!

Next week, we’ll see the next step in the process.

If you have an idea about where this project is going, contact us by emailing here or contact us on Facebook.  DarionGlass will be showing at the Fellowship Presbyterian Church craft show on Nov 10 and 11.  We hope to see you there!
