New Item

Last week we said “Each item that we create begins with a pattern that is placed on a sheet of glass, traced and then cut out to continue the construction process.”  With the new item this week, that is not exactly the case.  This is a combination of scrap and new glass.

Each of these items has a layer of colored glass and a layer of clear glass, with a strong magnet on the back.  The magnets on the left have copper rings in the form of a flower trapped between the two layers of glass.  The magnets on the right have designs of powdered glass fused on top of the two layers of glass.  The designs are stars, snowflakes, dragons and a golden sunburst.
