Sun and Moon Together

The sun and moon have been joined symbolically across many philosophic and religious incarnations.  Popular in posters and tattoos, the sun is often cradled in a crescent moon, symbolizing balance and harmony, as well as duality and unity.

DarionGlass created this version of the sun and moon nestled together and surrounded by stars.  Combining textured glass for the sun and paint for the moon, this design is set in a wooden stand. It is shown here with a battery powered light behind the stand to create a subtle night light and spread shadows of the small multi-colored stars into the night.  Without the light, natural light shines through the clear background to show off the quirky expressions on the sun and the moon.  Just the thing to bring a smile to your lips.
