Rediscovering a Lost Inventory Item

Almost a decade ago, a friend discovered we worked with glass and asked if we could fix a broken glass piece that was important to her.  She had a cross that had been hanging in a window, but had fallen and broken into several pieces.

We took the broken pieces, fused the cross to an acceptable state and returned it to its happy owner.  Using this cross idea, we combined the shape with the chipped mosaic glass technique and created a new item, shown in the three crosses on the left.  Somehow when we sold all of our inventory they did not get re-stocked.

I recently decided to create this cross again, but worked on a way to decrease the weight of the glass in the design.  I made several mosaic crosses - all in varying sizes - when I had another thought about them.  This lead me to investigate using small 3D flowers and leaves to decorate the cross and the results are the three crosses on the right. All of these crosses shine brightly when hanging in a window.

If there is a particular item, color or design for an object that springs to mind for you and you want to know if we can create it, get in touch and we will see what we can do. Contact us by emailing here or contact us on Facebook.
