Olive Tray

New items get created in the most whimsical way at times.  A friend came over and saw an incense holder that used glass she loved and the shape was just right. But she wanted something similar that was closed at both ends so that it could corral food, specifically olives.  The incense holder did not work because the bottom end is open so that it is easy to brush out ashes. 

So, I began the creative and design process to make this a reality.

Here is my first try, which is actually a usable item, unlike some of my test items!  The tray measures 8 inches long and is shallow to make it easy to pick up the items.  This photo shows the tray with olives – OK, my version of olives which are glass marbles, because you know I am into glass!  Perfect for olives, pickles, or my favorite test food, M & Ms, this tray can hold whatever you need in a fashionable way.
