Windchimes . . . Finished
Windchimes are one of the fun and creative items we make. Deciding on a theme, creating the pattern or design, executing the theme in glass, and then the excitement of opening the kiln and seeing how the inspiration translated into reality always makes for an interesting windchime.
Once the pieces are done in kiln, the creative part is mostly done. The next steps to complete the windchime are shown in the video and include:
Drilling holes in each of the windchime pieces
Selecting a windchime frame, such as a mason jar lid or cookie cutter
Punching holes in the frame for the supporting chain and the chain holding the individual windchime pieces
Cutting the lengths of chain and attaching the jump rings on each end
Hanging the windchime to enjoy
Each windchime comes with a large separating book ring at the top, making it easy to put the windchime on a tree limb, plant hanger or other attachment that allows it to catch the light and breeze.
We enjoy making items that represent special times or special people. If you want a special item, contact us by emailing here or contact us on Facebook.
